Ok so i was just meditating in the bath tub,

which is the best thing in the world by the way. But i was thinking… i haven’t seen the movie, But it came to me… What if 2012 IS a time for change. What if 2012 is the year of the loss of the ego and the discovery of the soul…sole…unity. I like to think you and I are a little more fascinated with life than most but as I lay in the water, in laying down meditation position (legs crossed, half lotus, back completely reclined so only the water holds me half below/above the surface. And it hit me as I turn my attention to my deep long patten of breathing. As I inhale, filling my lungs with delicious oxygen made available by trees, the other part of us, my body rises and floats the the surface of the water. As i exhale, releasing CO2 for re-uptake by nature, I experience the phenomenon of life and how it’s all connected. As a biology major I look at life from a molecular yet evolutionary perspective, noticing how the molecules that make up this water and electrical bonds in between work together to form a unit that gives water its surface tension, its significant characteristic in its essential purpose in promotion of life and its systems, another part of us, it. Ive always been relatively happy  and grateful, but I’ve never been so fascinated with life. I feel as if my studies in biology and experiences with hallucinogens and even health issues(having seizures etc) have worked together to work towards transcending the ego and exploring the soul, bigger things in life…energy, with possibility being a part of that energy. What if mushrooms and ayahuasca and other entheogenics ARE here for another purpose. They’ve always been here but what if they finally get through to the tiny evolving human brain, a fraction of the age and stature on the tree of life, that we’re not the center of the world, rather part of the beautiful universe just like everything else that lives in harmony and has been for aeons. Then we can stop basing life as we know, on us as the most important because we’re the most “evolved” but recognize that we are not the most evolved, nor the least, but a part, and there are more spectacular things to follow, or even exist. And technology would be used to advance in a beneficial way to advance the human species but in a necessarily eco-friendly way to preserve the life that comes before us, yet another part of us; understand the sublimity of life and awe at what may come. Maybe we’ll start doing things with consciousness; create things without waste and with respect to the earth, considering possible effects of what we do and make.  May we connect as one through practices of yoga and meditation or even everyday activities such as our jobs, doing everything from the heart.  Work together as an ecosystem to surpass the dimension of time and evolve the human potential, as one, to explore and revel as a mere speck in the infinite, dimensional possibility.  Maybe one day…
